About this blog

I started this blog in March 2011 as a way of trying to organise my thoughts, ideas and experiments relating to food and fitness. It's now something I can't imagine doing without, and whilst I may not always post about food and fitness (I seem to branch off into other topics rather easily), I do always post about things that matter to me.

Most of the recipes I post are vegan. However, they are intended to appeal to everyone, not just vegan / vegetarian eaters. If I do make something that is a little unusual, or that I think may not appeal to everyone, I will always note this. 

The tabs underneath the header are designed to help you navigate content. At times, I will make errors, links may break, or information may not be as easy to find as I would like. If you spot any glaring errors, please let me know.

My recipe page includes links to recipes as they were first published (i.e., embedded within blog posts) and to a Google site that summarises all recipes in printable form, without pictures or secondary text.

Disclosure policy
This site is a personal blog written and edited by me. All opinions are my own. I am not paid to write posts or provide opinions on products, and I do not make a living from blogging. Indeed, given how much money I spend on food and ingredients, I would say I make a loss from it!

I run ads in the right hand side bar, and at times elsewhere on the site. These advertisements are generated by third party ad networks but I do not accept ads on products or subjects I dislike.

I accept free products for review if provided, with pleasure. However, I will always state within a post that the product was provided free of charge and the compensation received will never influence the content, topics or posts I write. Almost all of the products I review I purchase myself, with no interaction with the manufacturer. 

The views and opinions expressed on this site are entirely my own. Your views and opinions may differ and I do not seek to convince you to agree with my perspective.

If I include links to external websites or organisations, I do so because I believe in and support those organisations.

I genuinely appreciate all comments and the time taken to post them. Occasionally, I may need to restrict commenting to registered users in order to halt large volumes of spam. If that happens, I will lift the restriction within a week.
